Day 8-

Collin has checked the mirror several times today, commenting that he doesn't look like himself bald. He still seems good with the new look. He was able to play hospital bingo this morning. Primary Children's hospital sponsors a bingo game over their closed circuit television. Volunteers bring bingo cards to the rooms. Kids can call in to the volunteer center and announce their bingo/blackout. Volunteers later bring a prize to the room. Collin had a good time with that this morning. We hung St. Patrick's Day decorations and played Skipbo. He started a new lego set and was happily building that through the evening. The doctors simply said he was doing great today. When all is going well it is a waiting game for engraftment. The bone marrow engraftment should occur around Day 20 (give or take a few days). We now wait and hope that it is successful. We have had several nurses become friends that check on him during their shifts and everyone is shocked by how amazing he is doing for Day 8. Day 8 tends to be the peak of the side effects so we are feeling very blessed that he feels so good.
